Ways to give

Whether you can give $10 or $10,000, there is a way to help. Start with a one-time or monthly gift, or choose a tax-smart option if that fits you better.

01

Give today

Give online by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Any amount is welcome, and you can type your own figure instead of picking one of the suggested amounts.

The form opens on a one-time gift. Choose Monthly at the top of it to give every month instead.

02

Give every month

A bike and a helmet are a one-time cost. The skills sessions, the group rides and the El Tour entry that follow run all year, so a monthly gift is the one the Foundation can plan around.

$10 a month works. Choose Monthly at the top of the form above, and cancel or change it anytime.

Other ways to give

Give from or establish a Donor Advised Fund

If you hold a donor-advised fund with a provider such as Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, you can recommend a grant to the El Tour Foundation through your provider’s own site. Your provider will ask for the Foundation’s legal name and tax ID, both listed below. If you are thinking about opening a fund rather than giving from one, get in touch and we will point you at the providers other supporters use.

Give stock or other assets

Appreciated stock and other assets can be a tax-efficient way to support the work, and the Foundation would like to hear from you. Contact us and we’ll make the arrangements with you and your advisor.

Give from an IRA

If you’re 70½ or older, you can direct a qualified charitable distribution from an IRA to a qualified public charity. Your IRA custodian or advisor handles the mechanics. Reach out and we’ll provide the Foundation details they need.

Give through work

Many employers match the charitable gifts their employees make, and some match two dollars for one. Your HR department or your company’s giving portal will know whether yours does and what it needs from the Foundation. Ask us and we’ll send whatever your employer requests.

Give in someone’s honor or memory

A gift can be made in honor of a rider, a coach, or someone you have lost. Tell us who it is for and the Foundation will write to the family or the person you are honoring.

Leave a lasting gift

A gift in your will, or naming the Foundation as a beneficiary, costs nothing today and keeps the pathway open for riders who haven’t started yet. Contact us for the language your attorney or plan administrator needs.

The El Tour Legacy Circle

The board has established four recognition tiers for founding supporters.

RecognitionAmount
Founding Member$10,000
Founding Partner$25,000
Leadership Circle$50,000
Visionary$100,000 and above

A gift at any of these levels is arranged with the board rather than through the form above. Get in touch and we’ll talk about what it funds and how the Foundation would recognize it.

The Foundation doesn’t provide tax or legal advice. Please talk with your advisor about your own situation.
